The speaker used in the SD72WV is the next generation of Atlas highperformance cone loudspeakers, very similar to the preceding C-Seriesspeakers. The similarity in the sonic qualities ensures that contractorsand designers who have worked with the Atlas Sound C-Series in thepast will know exactly what to expect when they use the SD72WV.
Model SD72WV is a 25 watt 8" (205mm) loudspeaker with a10oz. (260g) ceramic magnet. It includes a curvelinear, treated papercone for lower harmonic distortion. The loudspeaker is also equippedwith a full 1" diameter copper voice coil with a black anodized aluminumformer for better power dissipation. Model SD72WV operates within afrequency response range of 45Hz-19kHz (nominal) with a sensitivityof 97dB and a dispersion angle of 105ÃÃÃÃÃÃð. Package includes factoryinstalled 25/70.7V line matching transformer with tap selections rangingfrom .25 to 5 watts.
The SD72WV includes a factory installed CRSbaffle with concealed loudspeaker mounting studs and includes screwmount hardware. The SD72WV baffle features standard mounting holesto accommodate the majority of Atlas Sound 8" tile bridges, mountingrings and enclosures.
When specifying mounting hardware be advisedthat the dimensions of the SD72WV baffle match the Atlas SoundModel 62-8. The baffle finish is white powder coat epoxy. The bafflemounted volume control has a 5 watt audio rating and is factory wiredto the voice coil. Units are shipped assembled, ready for installation
