Vandal Proof Intercom Station With Cone Loudspeaker, 25V Transformer
Atlas-Sounds VPCS Series 2 & 3-gang intercom systems (Patent applied for) provide superiorintelligibility for one or two-way communication in high-security applications. Units are designedfor installation in detention, correctional, and institutional facilities. VPCS intercom stations arealso ideal for use in high-risk public-access spaces such as hallways, lobbies, and parkinggarages. Units withstand abuse, moisture, corrosion, dust, vibration, and temperature extremesfrom -10ÃÃÃÃÃÃð to 150ÃÃÃÃÃÃð F.
Stations are equipped with a 21/2" (64mm) dia. loudspeaker to deliver clear voice and signaltransmission while the phenolic resin impregnated, moisture-proof cloth cone provides durableperformance. The VPCS Series includes two die-cast baffles to protect the loudspeaker assemblyfrom vandalism. The Series is available with a 25-volt transformer providing 2, 1, 1/2,and 1/4 watt taps or as a 45 ohm configuration.
Model numbers indicating PB include a vandal-proof push-button call switch for installationwhere call origination is a required function or a desired adjunct to security. PBmodels feature a heavy-duty, momentary action push-button with a 3A at 120 VAC/1.5A at250 VAC contact rating, mounted to 11-gauge stainless steel face plate. The face platemounts standard 2 & or 3-gang E.O. boxes with any counter sunk 6-32" mounting screw.Lead wires are 5" (127mm). Switch is single pole, single throw, normally open.Push button assembly is constructed of nickel plated brass and sealed against moisturewith a classification of 1P65.
VPB-1A is a vandal-resistant push switch intercom accessory mounted to a single gang size stainlesssteel plate. Utilize assembly in conjunction with VPCS 2- and 3-gang stations or as a standalone signaling device when a separate or remotely located call origination button is desired
