ModelFA138T87 is Atlas Sound's premium 8" coaxial loudspeaker with a factoryinstalled, high efficiency 8 Watt 70.7V transformer.
Theloudspeaker includes a circuit board mounted high-pass/low-passcrossover which producesoutstanding sound quality. Model FA138 contains a reinforcedpolypropylene conewoofer, a custom butyl rubber surround, a 1 1/2" vented Kapton voicecoil, a 21oz. magnet and a 1/2" mylar-dome ferrofluid cooled tweeterfor clean and powerful weather-resistant performance.
Theintegral 8 Watt 70.7V transformer features a 50Hz to 15kHz frequency response (+/- 1 dB) with 1,2,4 and 8 watt primary taps.
Foroptimum acoustic and application versatility the Strategy series hasbeen engineeredas a system offering both the FA97-8 Series high performance enclosures(.22ft3) with acoustic batting as well as the economy FA95-6 Series(.17ft3) backbox enclosures. The enclosure front-loads the loudspeakerand installs quickly and easily into the ceiling using only ascrewdriver to adjust the rotating clamps. Loudspeakers may also beceiling or wall mounted into areas with minimum depth by using plasterring Model FAPR-8 instead of an enclosure.
Baffle selection includes a choice of two attractive grilles which areequipped with three serrated studs for hardware-free, push-oninstallation into Strategy Series enclosures.
For limited depth installations when no enclosure is required mountingring model FAPR-8 may be utilized. New construction ring model FA-TR8 isalso available to serve as a pattern cut-out and location marker fordrywall installers in new construction applications
